I was sitting there at the desk with nothing to do, simply starting at the monitor of my computer. There were people all around me busy in their work. It seemed to me that everyone had a motive, the thing that kept them busy with their work. I wondered what it was for me and nothing came to my mind but silence. It was surprising because I always believed that I was working towards something, something that only I understood. Well at that moment I felt it was an illusion that had kept me pushing forward all these years. I simply couldn't get myself together. There was too much at stake. Everything would have been a farce, my belief and my choices. I was compelled to resist it and thereby letting myself a small consolation somewhere deep down that it was worth it.
I tried to reason it with my inner conscious but it always ended with my resolution getting scarred even deeper. I am still sitting at the same desk, with people all around me working towards their goals. I still believe in my motives. Though wavering and stuttering at times I still hold on, hoping to see my self reach the shores of my destination.
